IVF Costs and Financial Options at San Diego Fertility Center
Being involved in fertility treatment is stressful both physically and emotionally, and the financial implications can add another stressful dimension. We understand and sympathize with these concerns and try to alleviate as much of the stress as possible by providing information and financial consultations for patients considering treatment alternatives.
We strive to provide complete, open communication and understanding of the financial aspects of care. We work to guide you through the appropriate questions to ask your insurance company so you are involved from the beginning in understanding your coverage benefits. When you enter our program and a treatment plan has been determined, we work with you and provide a complete financial consult, insurance benefits check, and help you determine the best financial alternatives for your fertility care.
Just as with any other surgical procedure, there is a physician component, possibly an embryology component, a facility component and an anesthesia component. Since each case is different, we discuss the options in advance with specific information related to your treatment plan.
The following will give you a basic understanding of the fees and financial options available.
Success Guarantee Package

Success Guarantee Package (application required)
The Success Guarantee program is a shared risk program, the price covers both the Fresh IVF cycle as well as all Frozen Embryo cycles produced as a result of the first Fresh Cycle. You are refunded the appropriate percentage if at the end of the complete cycle we are unsuccessful in achieving a pregnancy and a baby. The program is not available to all patients; you must first meet certain clinical criteria. You must complete an application and we will notify you if you are eligible for this option. For patients who do not have insurance coverage we have three different financial options for IVF. The Success Guarantee Program has clinical requirements, you must complete an application and receive acceptance before this option is available to you. The other two options are available to all patients, who pay out of their own pocket.
One IVF Cycle Cash Discounted Fee: $8,900.00
Our IVF one cycle package is a global fee for the required monitoring and treatment associated with one IVF cycle. Your monitoring visits with the Nurse Practitioner or doctor during your stimulation, the transvaginal egg retrieval, and the embryo culture and monitoring and the embryo transfer. This comprehensive fee avoids the confusion and extra cost of paying individual fees for each separate component of the complicated IVF process. By bundling the fees into a global package, we save you cost and confusion.
What is included on the One Cycle Global package?
- Ultrasound monitoring of your ovaries during the ovulation induction
- Blood test for serum estradiol, progesterone and hCG levels during the ovulation induction
- Surgeons fees for egg retrieval
- Facility fees (Del Mar Surgery Center) for egg retrieval
- Embryology fees associated with culture and monitoring of Embryos
- Physician fee for Embryo Transfer
- Facility fee for Embryo Transfer
What is NOT included in the One Cycle global Package?
- Intracyctoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
- Assisted Hatching of the embryo
- Freezing of the extra embryos
- Frozen Embryo Transfer
- Anesthesia fees for egg retrieval
- Medications
What are the advantages of the One Cycle Package?
- All fees for the cycle bundled into one fee
- Pay for only one cycle, do not purchase cycles that may not be needed.
What are the disadvantages of the One Cycle Global Package?
- If you do not achieve a pregnancy then you would need to pay for additional treatment.
Multi IVF Cycle Cash Discounted Fees
Our Multi-cycle packages were created for patients who want the option of doing more than one IVF cycle at a discounted rate. There are both Two IVF Cycle and Three IVF Cycle options. This enables you to complete second or a third cycle respectfully if the first IVF cycle is unsuccessful. We require you to complete the included cycles within one year or until pregnant.
Two IVF Cycle Cash Discounted Fee: $13,200.00
Three IVF Cycle Cash Discounted Fee: 17,200.00
Our IVF two and three cycle packages are cash discounted fees for the required monitoring and treatment associated with two and three IVF cycles respectively. This comprehensive fee avoids the confusion and extra cost of paying individual fees for each separate component of the complicated IVF process.

- Takes into consideration that IVF cycles may not be successful on first attempt.
What are the disadvantages of the Two and Three Cycle Global Packages?
- If an additional cycle is not required to achieve pregnancy then you have paid more than if you purchased the single cycle package.

- Ancillary Global Package Fee: $1,500.00
Includes ICSI, assisted hatching and cryopreservation - Fees for ICSI: If less or equal to 10 oocytes: $1,500.00
If Greater than 10 oocytes: $1,700.00 - Fees for Assisted Hatching: $500.00
- Fees for Cryopreservation: $700.00
- Anesthesia Fees: $400.00

1. Are your cash prices competitive?
Yes, we have discounted our cash fees to remain very competitive, our fees are comprehensive and offer IVF cycle packages with cash discounted fees.
2. When are the cash fees due?
All fees are discussed in detail at the financial consultation and the due date is explained at that time. To assist those cash patients who have no insurance benefits, we designed our "IVF Cycle Cash Discounted Fee Packages" which offers a discounted fee structure.
