Our IVF Program (in vitro fertilization) is one of the most respected and successful infertility clinics in the United States, and it is clearly a leading fertility center in the Southern California region. Our seminal work in developing the technique of blastocyst culture and transfer led to our first "blastocyst" baby delivered in 1998. We now offer the exciting technology of blastocyst transfer to all couples in our IVF program, when appropriate. Fertility specialists, Drs. Hummel and Kettel, have been involved in pioneering studies of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) during IVF that can help recognize genetic disorders before embryos are transferred.
EGG DONORS
We have also led the way in the treatment of difficult male factor infertility care, including percutaneous sperm aspiration, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (icsi), and microsurgical epididymal and testicular sperm retrieval.
One of our shining stars is our egg donation program. We have provided egg donor IVF, when needed, to couples for over a decade, and we had the first independent egg donation program in San Diego, California. Not only can we help provide anonymous egg donors in our own program, but we can also work with egg donor programs and agencies from around the world to create the perfect match for you. When combined with our highly successful blastocyst transfer program, we have seen success rates in egg donor IVF in the 70-80% per cycle range.
