San Diego Fertility Center's comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility are all performed on-site in our state-of-the-art facilities. Our nationally certified embryology lab operates year-round and employs three full-time embryologists and additional support personnel. Our andrology lab technologists have extensive experience to assist you with all your andrology and endocrine lab service needs. The San Diego Fertility Center's IVF laboratory program includes services in all aspects of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

Overview of Laboratory Procedures:

	Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) ICSI involves the insertion of a single sperm directly into the cytoplasm of a mature egg.
	Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) PGD tests embryos for genetic disorders prior to transfer to the uterus.
	Assisted Hatching Assisted hatching weakens the wall of the embryo to improve the likelihood of successful hatching and embryo implantation.
	Embryo Grading Embryo grading is used to assess the quality of embryos during IVF cycle by grading them on a on a good-fair-poor scale.
	Fertility Preservation Fertility Preservation includes the up-and-coming technologies of egg freezing and embryo freezing.
